I just completed my stay in Marco Island for a 2-night stay. The primary reason for booking this specific home was the pool, which is featured as the very first picture on the listing. However, the pool was completely unavailable throughout our stay. The host has been unhelpful in resolving this and only provided the option to cancel our trip when we already made the commute. Confirm the pool is in good condition before booking this Airbnb.

We really wanted to like this rental, but from the moment we arrived we encountered multiple maintenance, security & cleanliness issues. The AC unit behind the house was squealing loudly and had a foul smell. The 2nd bathroom toilet seat & lid were soaked, the toilet ran nonstop, and the bedroom closet carpet behind the bathroom was completely soaked. Although a technician came and appeared to fix the toilet, the carpet continued getting wetter during our stay, so we didn’t feel comfortable using that bathroom. The sliding-door locks were difficult to secure and the exterior screen doors had questionable locks which made us uneasy. The living room sliding doors had no screens or window coverings, which was disappointing. The most unsettling issue was finding multiple strands of hair and a dead ant stuck to the extra towels under the master bathroom counter. Overall we were disappointed by the number of issues throughout the property and feel they should have been addressed beforehand.
